Père Simplicien

Père Simplicien (Father Simplicien), O.A.D., (1683–1759) was a French genealogist.

A friar of the order of the barefoot Augustinians at the Couvent des Petits-Pères in Paris, his original name as a layman was Paul Lucas. He worked with Father Ange de Sainte Rosalie on the revision of the monumental Histoire généalogique de la maison royale de France of Father Anselme after the death of editor of the second edition, Honoré Caille du Fourny.

It was Father Simplicien who published the revised work in 1726, following the sudden death of Father Ange de Sainte-Rosalie.
